Committees

Our HR and Finance Committee oversees issues pertaining to human resources, finances and financial strategies. This Committee is NOT responsible for hiring of job positions at Sprouts.

Our Standards Committee ensures that standards and quality of products and services across the whole co-op are followed and compiled with. The Committee reviews and approves policies and procedures pertaining to products, services and consumers’ safety.

The Sprouts Strategic Planning Committee is spearheading the general direction and strategic plans for the Co-op. This committee is chaired by Worker-Director and is looking at mapping out 3 to 5-year plans for the Co-op, setting financial, social, and community-driven goals for growth and expansion. Staff and Co-op members are welcome to join.

The Product Development Committee has two main purposes: to develop Sprouts’ Purchasing Policy and to research the best products, services and brands for Sprouts to carry. The committee works closely with the Standards Committee to ensure that products, services and brands carried by Sprouts are compliant with the Co-op’s standards. It also works closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Committee to identify the current and emergent market/member needs.

The Volunteer Committee is dedicated to our volunteer force, responsible for developing the Volunteer Policy and Manual. It oversees the management of volunteers including recruitment, intake, orientation and training, matching, supervising, and appreciating volunteers as well as streamlining the workflow of volunteers.

The Fundraising and Marketing Committee oversees funding strategies that include marketing strategies, planning and executing grant applications and fundraising strategies.
